Any problem I have, Kay is always there to help and support me. During COVID-19, she responded very quickly and I was able to see her and Dr. Hyer, where they changed my medication. I felt instantly better. Kay always sends me information about open days and activity days for children with my condition. As a family we were able to enjoy a great activity day at Bowles Park.

Kay is one amazing nurse ! She has been truly amazing since the day we met her 17/12/2019! Herself along with dr hyer and the team at northwixk park paeds are outstanding ! My son has tried everything to ease his UC but nothing seems to be helping so possibly surgery sooner rather than later now ! They are always available to see us if need be and just hope and I’m sure both Kay and dr hyer if my son does have surgey will be there for myself and my son like thy both have since December - every medical team needs to run like they both do !!!!!

My 15 year old son was diagnosed with IBD 3 months ago and Kay Crook took on his paediatric care alongside Dr Hyer. Kay has been supporting us every step of the way from that first meeting. Initially she clearly explained to my son how the disease was affecting his body, how the medications would help him and how he might feel. She was and has continued to be reassuring that Dr Hyer and herself have medications in their armoury to make him feel much better and that they would support him throughout that process. At every physical appointment and every telephone consultation, she always takes time to listen to how he is feeling and talk to him about his symptoms, he never feels rushed, always supported. She also takes time to listen to my concerns, which as a worried parent is very comforting. While she is very knowledgeable and professional, she is also personable and caring and always positive. I know my son always feels reassured after talking to her, which is so important as he is grappling with this change to his life. I feel very fortunate and grateful to have my son under Kay’s care.

When my 14 year old daughter was first diagnosed with colitis 12 months ago Mrs. Kay Crook became her pediatric nurse, Kay did not just help us with the different courses of treatments, teaching us when and how my daughter should to take each medicine while checking her health and response to each treatment, but also gave us support and strength when we were stressed and calmed my daughter when she was nervous. When my daughter had to have an operation Kay came in to work to help her when she was not due to work those days, totally above and beyond what you could ask for. If you are reading this, your probably going through a difficult time as well, please be reassured if you have Mrs. Kay Crook as your nurse you will receive the best possible care.

Kay was extremely helpful and nice to me when I first arrived and has continued to support me and my parents when we come to appointments. She is a great listener and answers any questions we might have, she is fun, energetic and lively and always put a smile on my face when I was feeling down!
